With clients like Gucci, Apple, Coach, and Mercedes-Benz, it is clear Maria-Ines Gul has caught the eye of some of the top brands in the world for her work, and it's easy to see why. Her art is expressive, distinctive, imaginative and certainly whimsical. Determined to #beboldforchange, she has become a voice for female empowerment and gender equality through her art.
S: How did you get started as an artist?
MIG: I have always been drawing, it was my first language. My background is both Fine Art and Design, and I have been working full-time as an illustrator since the day I graduated from my MA at Royal College of Art.
S: What inspires you on a daily basis?
MIG: Music, color combinations, dreaming, walking at night, nature, folk tales.
S: What themes do you pursue?
MIG: Women, feminism, dream diaries, sadness, drawing selfies.
