Palm Springs, California

a sentimental longing or wistful affection for the past, typically for a period or place with happy personal associations
There's something in the warm desert air of this quaint resort town that brings to life the Hollywood golden era. Known for its mid century modern architecture and myriad of boutique hotels, Palm Springs exudes a certain nostalgic charm that one would be hard pressed to find anywhere else.
But what is it that has brought baby-boomers here for decades while at the same time becoming a destination for todays' design lovers: a continued and distinct ode to the ultimate California lifestyle.
A sense of escapism from the hustle and bustle of LA is felt driving along palm tree-lined boulevards in a convertible. Drinking cocktails poolside at 11 am on a Tuesday. Reading your favorite magazine while swaying in a hammock. Spotting celebrities dining al fresco on a Sunday morning.
And while some may say it's not what it used to be, we would argue that it has in fact become so much more. A place where the past is not forgotten, but rather reinvented and celebrated through architecture, design, food, and fashion. This is the Palm Springs lifestyle.
